About the position

The Tax Manager - Private Client Services role is designed for an experienced professional to oversee tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals and privately held businesses. This position involves managing complex tax returns, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining direct client relationships to provide tailored tax solutions. The firm offers a collaborative work environment with flexibility for remote work, especially outside of the busy season.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for private client services.
  • Manage client relationships, providing direct contact for tax planning and consulting.
  • Research complex tax issues and provide solutions.
  • Train and mentor a team of employees at various levels.
  • Manage multiple engagements for various clients simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
  • Active CPA or EA certification.
  • Expertise in business and individual tax, including privately held businesses, HNWIs, partnerships, s-corps, trusts & estates, and some c-corps.
  • Experience with clients generating between $5 million and $200 million in annual revenue.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and supervising multi-person teams.
