About the position
The PCT/Nursing Assistant in the ICU/CCU at Emerson Hospital is responsible for providing essential nursing care to patients under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. This part-time role involves assisting with various patient care tasks in accordance with the hospital's standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring a high level of patient support and care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with nursing care of patients as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
- Take and record vital signs of patients.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.
- Support the nursing team in delivering care in accordance with hospital standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year acute care experience or medical/surgical clinical experience preferred.
- BLS healthcare provider certification required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
- Ability to take vitals and maintain confidential information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Additional certifications related to patient care.
