About the position

As a Process Engineer at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing processes to enhance product quality and reliability. Your role will focus on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and risk management, while also addressing manufacturing line issues. You will apply methodologies such as failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, and SPC/FDC to diagnose and resolve assembly process-related problems.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve process-related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC methodology.
  • Coordinate and carry out process, equipment, and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at the process step.
  • Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost optimization activities.
  • Handle new process baseline qualifications and manage, audit, and collaborate with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk mitigation objectives.
  • Supervise the health of assigned processes, ensuring high-quality output, and providing proactive redundancy plans for bottlenecks that could impact Fab cycle time (CT) or turns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
  • Prefer 2+ years of experience in PCVD or Diffusion Process Engineer role.
  • Prefer semiconductor manufacturing experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Data Science understanding preferred but not required.
