About the position
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab at the New Brunswick campus. This per diem position involves providing nursing care within the scope defined by the Nurse Practice Act, ensuring safety and ethical standards, and collaborating with the patient care team to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the health care system within the defined scope of practice.
- Ensure safety in practice and adhere to ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Report identified safety issues and medical errors.
- Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with other patient care providers.
- Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes.
- Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care.
Requirements
- ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab, Cardiac Telemetry, and/or ED RN experience required.
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
Nice-to-haves
- BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire.
- CCU/ICU RN experience preferred.
- Cardiac Cath/EP RN experience preferred.
