About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Actalent involves managing projects for a reputable A&E firm that focuses on publicly funded projects across the Midwest. The role includes oversight of drawing production, quality control, and direct client interaction, particularly in the design of electrical systems for various facilities. This position is primarily remote but requires occasional travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects for various clients and provide oversight to the production of drawings.
• Ensure quality control and check documents produced by less tenured designers/drafters.
• Produce and design drawings within Revit and assist other MEP teams located throughout the Midwest.
• Focus on building power distribution and lighting design.
• Travel to client sites throughout the Midwest to interface with customers and provide solutions to any project issues.
• Answer questions or concerns from clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license (preferred and required for remote work).
• 5-15 years of experience with Revit electrical MEP design, project management, and mentoring less tenured designers/drafters.
• Understanding of Revit and the ability to produce construction documents.
• Experience in project management for commercial projects, preferably in the government/public sector or industrial.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with government contracts.
• Experience in building design, facility design, commercial construction, and commercial design.
