About the position

Peace Hospital, part of UofL Health, is a private, non-profit behavioral health hospital. One of the largest behavioral health facilities in the nation, Peace Hospital is known for providing care for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults, age 55 and older. It's Kosair Charities Children's Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country. The hospital was the nation's first behavioral health care center to open a retail pharmacist operated, long-acting injection clinic. The clinic was established to help people adhere to prescribed medications for behavioral health conditions, such as substance use and psychotic disorders. The Clinical Nurse Manager will have responsibility for the overall operations of the nursing unit to include financial performance, service quality, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. The Clinical Manager of the Nursing Department will have direct reporting responsibility to a designated Nursing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall operations of the nursing unit.
  • Manage financial performance and service quality.
  • Ensure clinical outcomes and quality improvement.
  • Monitor employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Master's Degree in a Nursing Specialty or Nursing Administration strongly preferred.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in an acute care setting for internal candidates.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in an acute care setting for external candidates.
  • Kentucky RN License required.
  • Professional certification in either a leadership or clinical specialty area strongly recommended.
