About the position

The Massage Therapist at Peaks Resort & Spa is responsible for delivering high-quality professional services in massage therapy, body treatments, and hydrotherapy treatments to guests. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The therapist will perform various types of massages, including Swedish, Sports, Shiatsu, deep tissue, and Reflexology, while also being proficient in body and hydrotherapy treatments such as exfoliation, masks, and wraps. The position demands adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring that treatment rooms are prepared and cleaned after each session, and maintaining inventory levels of linens and supplies. The therapist will also be involved in promoting and selling spa-approved products, checking appointment schedules, and completing daily reports. Regular attendance and compliance with hotel standards are essential, as is the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The therapist must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring that all interactions with guests and colleagues are courteous and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality professional massage therapy services to guests.
  • Perform various types of massage including Swedish, Sports, Shiatsu, deep tissue, and Reflexology.
  • Administer body treatments and hydrotherapy treatments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of treatment facilities and equipment.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper inventory levels of linens and supplies.
  • Promote and sell spa-approved facial and body products.
  • Check appointment schedules and complete daily reports as required.
  • Assist with front desk or locker room functions as necessary.
  • Attend meetings and training as required by management.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 500 hours of education or massage history required.
  • License or certification from an accredited school of massage/body work required.
  • Current CO State license required.
  • 2 years of experience in massage therapy preferred.
  • 1 year of spa experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of additional therapies desired.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
  • CPR Certification desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional therapies beyond massage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language.
