About the position

At Jenkins Dentistry for Kids, we are dedicated to creating a joyful and abundant environment for both our team and our patients. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our young patients feel comfortable and safe during their dental visits. This position involves working closely with a team of 24 other dental assistants, providing care to pediatric patients from their first teeth until they graduate from our practice at age 18. You will be responsible for assisting in various clinical procedures, including room setup and breakdown, four-handed dentistry, and sterilization processes. Your contributions will also extend to supply and inventory management, ensuring that our clinical space is well-equipped and organized. In this role, you will support our hygienists and dentists during preventative and operative procedures, helping to create a seamless experience for our patients. You will be expected to complete opening and closing duties as a team and participate in weekly team meetings to discuss progress and areas for improvement. Responsibilities

  • Arrive 15 minutes ahead of patient start time depending on assigned shift
  • Work with a team of 24 other dental assistants
  • Care for pediatric patients from their first teeth until they graduate at age 18
  • Assist through procedures in all areas of the clinical space, including room setup/breakdown and four-handed dentistry
  • Contribute to supply and inventory management
  • Use all equipment with care and ownership
  • Support the hygienist in all aspects of preventative and periodontal procedures
  • Support dentists through exams and operative procedures
  • Complete opening and closing duties as a team
  • Attend weekly team meetings
