About the position
As a Part Time Pediatric Dental Assistant at Little Crown Pediatric Dentistry, you will play a crucial role in promoting children's dental health and ensuring they develop healthy habits for a lifetime of beautiful smiles. This position involves working closely with a dedicated team to provide quality care in a fun and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the dental treatment area and equipment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Perform coronal polishing and prophylaxis as certified.
- Educate children and their parents on proper dental hygiene practices.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with children and their families to create a positive experience.
Requirements
- X-ray, Prophy, and Coronal Polishing certified.
- Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent.
- Experience working in a professional, medical, or dental environment with direct customer service is desired.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Customer service oriented with effective communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
Nice-to-haves
- Pediatric dental assisting experience is preferred.
