About the position
The Pediatric Dentist at Kids In Need of Dentistry (KIND) will manage clinical operations while providing high-quality, compassionate dental care to underserved children. This part-time role is ideal for professionals looking to supplement their income with flexible scheduling and administrative support provided. The dentist will work closely with a dedicated team to educate families about dental health and ensure a culturally competent environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat each patient providing preventative, therapeutic, and restorative dental care.
- Educate patients, guardians, and families about caries prevention and other dental conditions.
- Support professional development and provide coaching feedback to team members.
- Participate in KIND team and organizational meetings and events.
- Maintain a caring, respectful, and culturally competent environment for patients and families.
Requirements
- Licensed specialist in Pediatric Dentistry with a current Colorado license.
- D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a pediatric dental setting.
- Current CPR certification and DEA certificate.
- NPI Number and credentialed Medicaid and CHP+ provider.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in public health dentistry.
- Knowledge of Spanish language.
- Prior teaching experience in a dental setting.
