About the position
The Pediatric Homecare Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Care Options for Kids provides specialized one-on-one care to pediatric patients in a home setting. This role emphasizes autonomy and the establishment of meaningful relationships with families, allowing nurses to utilize their clinical skills effectively without the chaos of a hospital environment. Responsibilities
- Medication administration per physician orders
- Administer physician ordered treatments for nutrition via a feeding tube
- Provide tracheostomy care
- Perform suctioning (nasal, oral, and/or endotracheal)
- Deliver ventilation care
- Conduct seizure assessment and treatment
Requirements
- Current, active Texas LVN license
- Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online)
- G-tube, trach, vent experience, or willing to train
