About the position

The Pediatric Homecare RN Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the quality of care provided to clients, collaborating with various stakeholders to improve client outcomes. This role involves professional management and leadership in clinical practice, overseeing day-to-day nursing operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The RN Supervisor is accountable for staff training, conducting home visits, and implementing client care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Medicaid and Medicaid Waiver services including Personal Care, Nursing Visits, Reassessments, Healthy Children & Youth (HCY) and Medically Fragile Adult Waiver (MFAW).
  • Recruit RNs and LPNs for staffing HCY & MFAW cases.
  • Grow the shift nursing program.
  • Provide clinical supervision including orientation, training, and competency evaluation of RNs and LPNs across all branches.
  • Review clinical documentation for nursing care to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Manage the Nursing Quality Process including quarterly audits, writing and implementing Plans of Correction, and developing Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Be available after hours for calls with field nurses.
  • Educate branch administrative staff on Medicaid program requirements related to nursing.
  • Train, competency assess, and supervise caregivers to provide Advanced Personal Care.

Requirements

  • Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Social Services, or related healthcare field preferred.
  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of experience as either an RN or LPN.
  • One year of supervisory experience in Pediatric Nursing.
  • One year of experience caring for the Elderly.
  • One year of experience supervising RNs and/or LPNs.
  • Experience in Home Care or Home Health.
  • Current and unrestricted registration and license in the state of operation.
  • CPR professional certification.
  • Maintain state regulatory certifications as required.
  • Functions within the Nursing Scope of Practice and Nurse Practice Act (NPA).
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • General knowledge of computers and ability to learn industry-specific software.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work responsibly with confidential information.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop critical thinking skills and solve complex problems.

Benefits

  • Salary range of USD $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year.
