About the position

Maine Medical Partners Pediatric Specialty Care is seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Pulmonologist to join a team of three pulmonologists and a nurse practitioner in Portland, Maine. The position involves providing specialized care for children with pulmonary conditions, participating in academic responsibilities, and contributing to outreach clinics to improve access for children in rural areas. The role includes teaching and mentoring residents and medical students, as well as involvement in various clinics and services related to pediatric pulmonology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care for children with pulmonary conditions.
  • Participate in an active bronchoscopy service.
  • Engage in outreach clinics to improve access for children in rural areas.
  • Contribute to the aerodigestive clinic and muscular dystrophy clinic.
  • Manage children on home ventilation.
  • Provide education to the pediatric residency program and students from Tufts Medical School's Maine track program.
  • Teach and mentor residents and medical students from the Maine Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine Program.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Desirable to be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Sleep Medicine (not required).
  • Experience in managing pediatric pulmonary conditions.

  • Interest in general pulmonology.
