About the position
The Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes, primarily on weekends. This role involves coordinating care with healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with medical guidelines, and delivering high-quality clinical services. The position offers flexible scheduling options, including full-time, part-time, or PRN, and emphasizes a supportive work environment with opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide and direct nursing and personal care to pediatric patients in their homes as prescribed by the physician.
- Coordinate the plan of care with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care.
- Complete clinical nursing assessments in accordance with federal and/or state program requirements.
- Ensure the patient's eligibility and medical necessity for services as defined by payer source and agency policy.
- Develop and revise individualized plans of care according to federal and/or state program requirements.
- Ensure plan of care frequency and duration meets the needs of the patient and initiate revisions as needed with physician approval.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification required.
- At least one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, or recent clinical experience as an LPN may be considered.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
