About the position

The Pediatric Surgery position is a permanent role located in Houston, TX, focusing on providing surgical care for infants and children. The role involves performing a variety of surgical procedures, including neonatal surgeries and advanced laparoscopic techniques, while also participating in shared call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform neonatal surgeries, including high-risk newborn and birth defect procedures, and ECMO.
• Conduct advanced laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures.
• Perform circumcisions and gastrostomy tube placements.
• Manage surgeries for gastroesophageal reflux, inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias, and other abdominal wall defects.
• Address masses and tumors, pilonidal cysts, and undescended testes.

Requirements

• Texas medical license or in process.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery.
• Recent experience in Pediatric Surgery.
