About the position

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking part-time and full-time BE/BC Pediatricians to join their Urgent Care team in Northeast Ohio. The role involves providing urgent care services at various locations, including Montrose, Beachwood, Boston Heights, Mansfield, and Warren. Physicians will work a combination of eight and twelve-hour shifts, utilizing a point of care testing lab, x-ray capabilities, and offering wound care and suture procedures. The position includes a full complement of support staff and flexible scheduling options, with the added benefit of qualifying for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services to pediatric patients in various locations.
• Utilize point of care testing lab and x-ray capabilities.
• Perform limited splinting, wound care, and suture procedures.
• Work flexible shifts, including eight and twelve-hour shifts.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics.
• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Interest in teaching medical students and residents.
