About the position

The Senior Faculty position in Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine focuses on enhancing patient care quality through the integration of various psychological disciplines. The position involves mentoring interdisciplinary teamwork, facilitating collaborations, and providing operational and research support in professional wellness and organizational development.

Responsibilities

• Increase the quality of patient care by applying principles of industrial/organizational psychology and occupational health psychology.
• Support Department of Pediatrics Faculty in optimizing departmental performance and fostering holistic professional wellness.
• Provide resources to promote resilience and prevent professional burnout among faculty.
• Lead interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary teamwork and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate faculty collaborations with granting agencies and professional associations.
• Provide operational and research support in professional wellness and occupational health psychology.
• Promote a resilient climate of psychological safety for faculty at all career stages.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology.
• 10+ years of experience as a consultant.
• 3+ years of experience in an administrative or executive role in higher education or medical education.
• Proven record of developing and implementing programs in Organizational Development and Occupational Health Psychology.
• Knowledge of best practices regarding faculty and employee mental health and wellbeing in extreme environments or high-reliability organizations.
• Experienced executive and faculty leadership coach.
• Proficient in Statistical and Content Analyses tactics and applications.
• Knowledge of the American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.
