About the position
The Behavioral Health Specialist at Valley Health Partners is responsible for completing assessments and evaluations, developing and implementing treatment goals, and facilitating referrals and resources both internally within the Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHP) continuum and throughout the community. This role also involves providing therapeutic interventions to address patients' mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Completes assessments and evaluations of patients.
- Develops and implements treatment goals for patients.
- Facilitates referrals and resources within the VHP continuum and the community.
- Provides therapeutic interventions to address mental health needs.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a clinical discipline such as Psychology.
- Two years of experience in counseling or social work or a related field in a clinical setting.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) upon hire.
- CPR / BLS certification required.
Nice-to-haves
- More than three years of experience in counseling or social work or a related field in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
