About the position

The Peer Career Coach (PCC) position at Northern Kentucky University is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping their peers succeed in their job search efforts. PCCs will educate fellow students on job-search practices, assist in finding co-op/internship opportunities, and play a crucial role in mock interview programs and outreach initiatives. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop job search knowledge and skills while making a positive impact on the student community.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-on-one job search appointments
• Present at workshops and classroom presentations
• Interview students and provide them with feedback about how to strengthen their interview
• Teach others how to use job search tools
• Assist with event planning and management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Commitment to helping others succeed
• Desire to learn and teach others
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check
