About the position

The Peer Recovery Support Specialist/Wellness Coach Level 2 at NorthCare is a full-time role focused on providing support to individuals on their recovery journey. This position combines personal lived experience with specialized training to deliver culturally competent and trauma-informed services. The specialist will advocate for clients, conduct health promotion activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help clients achieve their treatment goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, integrated services that are culturally competent and trauma-informed.
• Advocate for clients within the community and NorthCare, ensuring they receive the necessary support for recovery and independent living.
• Conduct health promotion activities, including vital checks, health education, and lifestyle interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support behavior change and treatment goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and meet productivity expectations outlined by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; additional higher education preferred.
• Certification as an ODMHSAS Peer Recovery Support Specialist and Wellness Coach (or obtainable within 60 days of hire).
• Experience in community mental health or related fields preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word and general computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid Oklahoma driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required.
• Commitment to maintaining CPR, First Aid, and other required certifications.

Nice-to-haves
