About The Position
The Peer Specialist at East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) plays a crucial role in the Behavioral Health Services Division, utilizing personal recovery experiences to support clients in their journey towards self-sufficiency and improved mental health. This position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to provide coaching, mentoring, and role-modeling for clients, helping them develop coping skills and recognize their strengths and weaknesses. The role requires a Peer Specialist and/or Wellness Coach Certification and involves a mix of scheduled hours, including some evenings and weekends.
