About the position

The Pega CDH Data Engineer will serve as a technical subject matter expert, providing operational support and developing solutions for importing and ingesting customer data into Pega CDH on Pega Cloud. This role involves guiding the design and development of applications to support Pega Marketing systems, solving complex problems, and ensuring operational stability and efficiency. The position requires flexibility for on-call rotations and weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for an assigned area providing operational support.
  • Develop technical solutions for importing and ingesting Customer Data into Pega CDH.
  • Guide the design and development of applications to support Pega Marketing systems capabilities.
  • Solve highly complex problems and identify solutions from a broad perspective.
  • Interact with other functional teams or projects to ensure department objectives are met.
  • Provide operational support input related to application analysis, code review, design, and programming functions.
  • Manage and ensure quality standards of Pega implementations.
  • Lead discussions and initiatives on integration of other applications with Pega-based applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in application support and incident and problem management.
  • 5+ years supporting Pega applications.
  • Certified Pega Senior System Architect with significant experience in Customer Decision Hub (CDH).
  • Certified Pega Decisioning Consultant (CPDC) with strong decisioning expertise.
  • Working knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices.
  • Very good understanding of SQL (Advanced level).
  • Hands-on experience with Pega 8.x, PostgresQL, and Cassandra.
  • Experience in ITIL Service Operations including Incident, Problem, & Alert Management.
  • Experience analyzing log files and reports from application sources.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with processing various file types.
  • Hands-on experience with services and connectors/APIs.
  • Experience leading/training junior team members on Pega application and incidents.
  • Pega Cloud experience.
  • Experience on all Pega products including Deployment Manager and CDH.
