About the position

The Pega CDH Developer with Strong ETL role is a long-term contract position that requires a skilled professional to work in a hybrid environment across various locations including Vienna or Winchester, VA; San Diego, CA; or Pensacola, FL. The primary focus of this role is to load customer data into Pega Customer Data Hub (CDH) on Pega Cloud, ensuring data quality and implementing necessary controls. The developer will be responsible for migrating existing ETL processes for the Pega marketing Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution to a Pega managed service in the cloud, specifically a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. In addition to data loading and migration, the developer will design and implement data frameworks and pipelines that process data from both on-premises and cloud data sources. This data will be fed into Pega's AWS (PostgreSQL) and Azure data storages. The role also involves monitoring data quality and implementing related controls to maintain the integrity of the data. The developer will provide technical leadership, guiding and educating team members and coworkers on development and operational best practices. The position requires evaluating existing designs, improving methods, and implementing optimizations to enhance performance. Documentation of best practices for data models, data loads, and query performance is essential, as is the enforcement of these practices among team members. The developer will implement integration plans and work closely with testing teams to incorporate these plans into the integration testing process. Additionally, responsibilities include performing data archival and ensuring the security and integrity of solutions, in compliance with Navy Federal, industry engineering, and Information Security principles and practices. The developer will also analyze and validate data sharing requirements with internal and external data partners, working directly with business leadership to understand data requirements and propose solutions that enable effective decision-making and drive business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Load Customer Data into Pega CDH on Pega Cloud, monitor data quality and implement related controls.
• Migrate existing ETL for the Pega marketing PaaS solution to a Pega managed service in the cloud, SaaS solution.
• Design and implement data frameworks and pipelines to process data from on-premises and cloud data sources to feed into the Pega AWS (PostgreSQL), Azure Data storages, monitor data quality and implement related controls.
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge to educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
• Evaluate existing designs, improve methods, and implement optimizations.
• Document best practices for data models, data loads, query performance and enforce with team members.
• Implement integration plans and interface with testing teams to incorporate plans into the integration testing process.
• Perform data archival.
• Ensure the security and integrity of solutions including compliance with Navy Federal, industry engineering and Information Security principles and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Very good understanding of SQL, Procedures and Packages.
• Hands-on experience creating automated data pipelines using modern technology stacks for batch ETL, and for data processing to load advanced analytics data repositories.
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Cloud technologies (AWS, ADLS).
