About the position

The position involves analyzing business needs to develop and implement technology solutions that enhance business processes. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions, utilizing advanced knowledge of the organization's technology infrastructure. The individual will conduct complex system analyses, document business requirements, and support business operations through effective technology implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Utilize Navy Federal approved software development tools to design, develop, implement, and maintain low code or no code business solutions.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing, including developing and executing test cases and ensuring acceptance of delivered solutions.
  • Partner with project teams to plan, coordinate, and rollout software changes to Controlled Testing and Production.
  • Monitor the progress of planned improvement project implementations to assure timely action and achievement of expected benefits.
  • Interact with ISD staff and business units in problem resolution efforts.
  • Collaborate with key partners in the development and delivery of solutions.
  • Participate in cross-organizational task groups concerning new automated systems, products, and services.
  • Perform annual recertification on Navy Federal standards as they relate to the platform.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation throughout all phases of the Systems Development Life-Cycle.
  • Contribute knowledge management articles for created solutions to the enterprise asset management repository.
  • Evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness and analyze information, requirements, and processes.
  • Present recommendations and alternatives based on analysis results.
  • Analyze and document technical design for data, workflow, and systems interfaces.
  • Develop and document adjustments to workflow to streamline processes.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis using analytical techniques and tools.
  • Partner with other business units and vendors to improve procedures and resolve problems.
  • Utilize performance measurements to identify areas for improvement and develop process improvement plans.
  • Develop and oversee project plans and roadmaps to remediate control deficiencies and maximize effectiveness.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor Business Solutions Developer I, II, and III.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Expert knowledge of software development best practices.
  • Extensive experience with application development platforms (e.g., Pega, SharePoint, JAVA).
  • Extensive experience in programming with Pega 'RDA' and 'RPA' components.
  • Extensive experience in low-code or no-code software applications.
  • Extensive experience in developing and testing software.
  • Expert knowledge of data querying, reporting, and operations research.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and recommend strategies.
  • Extensive experience in communicating complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Expert skills in problem resolution and managing multiple priorities.
