About the position

The Pega - PL/SQL Developer role involves leading and executing software solutions, particularly in Pega development and Oracle PL/SQL. The position requires strong database skills and knowledge of AWS, as the company transitions from private cloud to AWS. The developer will be responsible for writing secure, high-quality code and troubleshooting technical issues while collaborating with upstream and downstream systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation.
• Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity.
• Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with Pega v8.4 and up required.
• Oracle PL/SQL required; Postgres knowledge is nice to have.
• Strong database skills required.
• Knowledge of AWS is required as the company is moving to AWS in 2026.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Pega Certifications are nice to have.
• Working with Java loads is nice to have.
• Proficient in Pega development as well as multiple design techniques.
