About the position

The Pega - PL/SQL Developer position is focused on developing and maintaining software solutions using Pega and Oracle PL/SQL. The role involves taking on lead responsibilities and working within a Scrum framework, with a strong emphasis on database skills and cloud migration to AWS. The developer will be expected to write secure, high-quality code and troubleshoot technical issues while collaborating with upstream and downstream systems.

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance.
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation.
• Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity.
• Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.
• Demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of Software.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Proficient in Pega development as well as multiple design techniques.
• Working proficiency in Pega toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Good understanding of PL/SQL.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with Pega v8.4 and up required.
• Oracle PL/SQL required; Postgres nice to have.
• Strong database skills required.
• Knowledge of AWS is required as the company is moving from private cloud to AWS in 2026.
• Experience working with Java is nice to have.
• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Pega Certifications are nice to have.
• Experience with Postgres as the company is transitioning from Oracle to Postgresql.
• Working knowledge of Java.
