The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at S&P Global Ratings plays a crucial role in enhancing the stability of Pega-based workflow applications. While the team does not engage in code development, it possesses the expertise to analyze existing code, replicate issues in lower environments, and provide effective workarounds to users. The SRE team collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and product teams, to ensure that production solutions are delivered efficiently. The team's goal is to evolve into full-stack engineers, thereby improving support for the user base and enhancing overall system reliability. In this role, you will be responsible for conferring with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and gather information regarding project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. You will coordinate the installation of software systems and develop or direct software system testing and validation procedures. Additionally, you will modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware platforms, and improve performance. Your responsibilities will also include storing, retrieving, and manipulating data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements, as well as supervising the work of colleagues and other technical personnel. This position offers a competitive salary range of $98,000 to $145,000, depending on geographic location and individual qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan, although it does not include additional compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
