SAIC is seeking an experienced Pega Software Engineer to join our Agile Scrum team, working remotely on strategic projects that support the United States Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources and Conservation Division. This role involves participating in the analysis, documentation, development, testing, and implementation of software system requirements that are essential for the business and mission systems needed by our customers. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teammates, internal project leadership, and product owners to identify needs and requirements, translating them into custom software solutions that are peer-reviewed, tested, verified, and integrated. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-reliability applications. You will provide end-user support for several applications and interact with other developers to build software solutions that meet scoped requirements. Managing software application code using version control and problem tracking software is also a key responsibility. Working effectively in an Agile software development environment is crucial, as is maintaining close interaction with federal customers to ensure their needs are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pega development, with a focus on the Pega PRPC platform, and will be familiar with all phases of the software development lifecycle. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as this role emphasizes team collaboration and interaction with various stakeholders.
