About the position
The Pega Test Manager at Capgemini is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and plans for PEGA projects. This role involves leading a team of testers, ensuring effective communication between onshore and offshore teams, and overseeing the execution of various testing types to ensure high-quality deliverables. The position requires collaboration with PEGA developers and architects to tailor testing strategies and utilize PEGA-specific testing tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy and plan for PEGA projects.
- Define scope, objectives, approach, resources, and schedule for testing.
- Lead and manage a team of testers, ensuring appropriate workload distribution and skill development.
- Coordinate between onshore and offshore testing teams.
- Mentor and guide team members in PEGA-specific testing techniques and tools.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are covered through various test types.
- Work closely with PEGA developers and architects to understand PEGA components and tailor test strategies.
- Identify opportunities for test automation, particularly for regression and repetitive tasks.
- Track, report, and manage defects through the defect lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding test progress, risks, and issues.
- Define and enforce quality assurance standards, methodologies, and best practices within the team.
Requirements
- Experience with Pegasystems and PEGA-specific testing tools.
- Proficiency in JUnit and Selenium for automated testing.
- Strong background in regression analysis and unit testing.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Experience in developing test strategies and plans.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
