About the position
The Pellet Mill Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the pellet mill and its associated machinery. This role ensures the production of high-quality pellets by monitoring ingredients, performing quality checks, and operating bagging and sealing equipment. The operator must adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and contribute to their improvement to enhance productivity and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Setup, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the pellet mill and associated machines.
- Monitor required ingredients to produce top-quality pellets.
- Perform quality checks to ensure pellets meet standards.
- Operate bagging, sealing, stacking, and wrapping equipment.
- Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and participate in their modification when appropriate.
- Operate heavy equipment such as wheeled loaders and fork trucks.
Requirements
- Machine operating experience.
- Forklift and payloader experience.
