About the position

The Senior Physical Therapist (Sr PT) at Houston Methodist is responsible for overseeing clinical operations across multiple clinics, performing patient assessments, developing care plans, and implementing treatments. This role also involves managing metrics, leading quality improvement initiatives, mentoring staff, and ensuring optimal patient care and safety. The Sr PT serves as a liaison between management and staff, contributing to service line expansion and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Conduct advanced therapy treatments for complex patient cases.
  • Manage and analyze clinical metrics and report on data.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Mentor and train team members to improve performance and skills.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits and provide feedback on staff performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for routine matters within the service line.
  • Coordinate activities for assigned clinics and participate in service expansion.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Five years of experience as a Physical Therapist, or four years with a specialty certification.
  • State Licensure as a Physical Therapist within 90 days or Temporary State Licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
