About the position
The Penetration Tester/Application Security Engineer role is focused on identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities within applications and systems. This position requires a strong background in penetration testing and application security, utilizing tools such as Burp Suite to assess and enhance security measures. The role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work, specifically three days onsite in New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing on applications and systems to identify vulnerabilities.
- Utilize Burp Suite and other security tools to perform assessments.
- Collaborate with development teams to remediate identified security issues.
- Provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations for security improvements.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends in application security.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in penetration testing and application security.
- Proficiency in using Burp Suite and other security assessment tools.
- Strong understanding of web application vulnerabilities and security best practices.
- Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working at Infosys or Verizon.
