About the position

The PennSTART Director will oversee the strategic planning and operational management of the PennSTART facility, focusing on the autonomous vehicle and robotics industry. This role involves building partnerships, managing events, and ensuring the test track meets the evolving needs of stakeholders. The Director will play a crucial role in maintaining PennSTART's position as a leader in mobility innovation through collaboration and research.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the strategic planning and development of PennSTART.
• Identify new testing partners and funding opportunities.
• Continuously improve the test track's infrastructure.
• Facilitate collaborative research and testing initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, academic institutions, and government agencies.
• Manage track use agreements and sponsor agreements.
• Organize and manage events such as technology demonstrations and product showcases.
• Plan and coordinate logistics for events at PennSTART.
• Learn and share PennSTART testing and technology services with potential customers.
• Support day-to-day operations of the PennSTART facility.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in the robotics industry (preferred).
• 5 years of experience in account management (preferred).
