About the position

The People & Culture Director at SCAN Health Plan is a strategic partner to leadership, focusing on enhancing organizational culture and driving key values. This role involves consulting on talent management, performance, and succession planning, while executing HR initiatives that support both employees and leaders. The Director will lead programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will be responsible for solving organizational challenges through people-related solutions. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, data analysis, and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders to achieve SCAN's vision and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Consult leadership on talent reviews, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Execute programs to support employees and leaders, including talent management and performance management.
  • Lead HR programs to build a company culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Solve organizational challenges through people-related solutions and serve as a thought leader on human capital topics.
  • Partner with HR centers of excellence to design and execute staffing and development strategies.
  • Provide data-driven insights to guide decision-making and create comprehensive people plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of relevant HR experience, including HRBP or generalist roles.
  • Knowledge of California and Federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and trends.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through relationships and expertise.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably healthcare.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP designation preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workday.
