About the position

Collette is seeking a People & Culture Operations Specialist to join our People and Culture Team. This is a hybrid role based at our Headquarters in Pawtucket, RI. As the longest-running tour operator in North America, Collette leads the industry in innovation and expertise, and we are looking for a passionate individual to help fulfill travel dreams and shape the company's future. The P&C Operations Specialist will provide support and assistance with the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture department, assisting the team with various programs, projects, and activities covering multiple areas of People & Culture. This role is essential in ensuring that new hires are effectively onboarded and that employee information is accurately maintained in our HRIS. The P&C Operations Specialist will lead the new hire onboarding process, communicating with new hires during pre-onboarding and conducting new hire orientation. This includes preparing swag items for new hires, maintaining inventory, and ordering as needed. The specialist will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure new employees are equipped with the necessary tools and resources for success. Additionally, the role involves managing and maintaining all employee information and changes in the HRIS, ensuring the integrity of employee data, and that business processes are accurate, timely, and efficient. The specialist will also develop and run reports as needed in the HRIS, manage employee files to ensure all documents are uploaded in a timely manner, process wage garnishments, administer unemployment claims, and resolve employee issues appropriately. Support for various benefits administration tasks, such as new hire enrollments and leave administration, will also be part of the role. The specialist will coordinate, plan, and implement a wellness program focusing on physical, emotional, and financial well-being, and assist with departmental projects and tasks as needed. Staying up to date on new regulations and compliance matters is crucial for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new hire onboarding process and conduct new hire orientation.
  • Prepare swag items for new hires and maintain inventory.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to equip new employees with necessary tools and resources.
  • Manage and maintain all employee information/changes in the HRIS.
  • Ensure the integrity of employee data and that business processes are accurate, timely, and efficient.
  • Develop and run reports as needed/requested in the HRIS.
  • Manage employee files to ensure all documents are uploaded in a timely manner.
  • Process wage garnishments in the HRIS.
  • Administer Unemployment Claims.
  • Resolve employee issues appropriately and refer employees to other members of P&C when necessary.
  • Provide support for benefits administration such as new hire enrollments and leave administration.
  • Prepare and send out Birthday and Anniversary cards.
  • Coordinate, plan, and implement a wellness program and related activities.
  • Develop promotion and publicity plans for wellness programs throughout the organization.
  • Assist with departmental projects and tasks as needed.
  • Stay up to date on new regulations and compliance matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an office environment, human resources experience preferred.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Proven knowledge of Federal, state, and local legal considerations and best practices related to Human Resource administration.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience using ADP preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
