About the position

The People Group Strategic Initiatives Project & Change Manager is responsible for optimizing and managing strategic initiatives within the People Group organization. This role focuses on project management, change management, and technology partnership, ensuring alignment with HR strategies and effective communication across various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will leverage their project management expertise, particularly in HR processes and Workday software, to drive successful project execution and adoption of changes.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall strategy by presenting all projects in comprehensive reviews for prioritization, planning, and execution.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Monitor project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project members.
  • Liaise with Subject Matter Experts to execute against project deliverables and determine the best approach for GEICO.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or changes in scope.
  • Create and facilitate change management strategy and framework for associated projects to ensure adoption and communication of key changes.
  • Lead innovative approaches to embed strategic solutions at every stage of the talent lifecycle.
  • Partner with communications to create collateral for relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Workday platform.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between HR, IT, and other relevant departments for People Group projects.
  • Encourage and support team collaboration and communication, embracing inclusivity in leading teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to convey project deliverables and ensure deadline adherence.
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to determine metrics impacts of projects and track implementation effects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience focused on HR systems and processes.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Workday platform in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
