About the position

At DZS, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for our employees, and we are currently rebranding our HR organization to the People Experience Team. We are seeking a People & Culture Generalist, also known as an HR Generalist, who is not only a problem solver but also a creative thinker and a trusted partner in our people initiatives. This role is designed for those who are looking for a dynamic and engaging HR position rather than a traditional one. As a key member of the People team, you will collaborate with employees, managers, and business leaders to provide support that aligns with industry best practices while delivering a high level of customer service. In this hands-on role, you will provide transactional support across our enterprise, playing a crucial part in enhancing the employee experience throughout the entire employee life cycle. You will be the first point of contact for new hires, acting as a Brand Ambassador for DZS by educating them on our culture, guiding principles, values, and vision through effective onboarding coordination. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of practices and programs that reflect our cultural values, managing award programs, organizing company and office events, and facilitating employee meetings. You will also be responsible for entering and auditing data in reports and systems related to employee benefits and total rewards. This role requires executing transactions with confidence and professionalism, addressing general workplace, benefits, and company policy inquiries, or directing employees to the appropriate People Experience Business Partner or Subject Matter Expert. Additionally, you will support all aspects of the employee life cycle, including employee relations, performance management, occupational health and safety, immigration processes, managing leaves, and offboarding. You will facilitate interactions with benefits vendors, assist with benefits administration, performance management, and HRIS, and work closely with our payroll specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing on a biweekly basis. Moreover, you will support talent management and succession planning activities, proactively partnering with the business and HR partners in Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to address any gaps. Maintaining data integrity is crucial, as you will ensure that employee data is documented in compliance with all relevant laws throughout the employee lifecycle. You will also track reoccurring training certifications and generate various HR reports, compliance reports, reconciliation, and turnover analysis on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
