About the position

The People Operations Coordinator at Saks plays a vital role in supporting the People team by managing day-to-day operations, facilitating employee engagement initiatives, and overseeing budget management. This position is essential for enhancing the employee experience through effective communication, compliance, and program implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the People team in managing day-to-day operations.
  • Facilitate orientation and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage the non-payroll budget for the People team.
  • Order and distribute labor posters to all locations in a timely manner.
  • Manage the orientation calendar and distribution of Saks Global swag.
  • Assist the Employer Branding Specialist with annual recognition events.
  • Provide administrative support on immigration matters, including maintaining employee files.
  • Distribute People team mail and maintain the People team intranet page.
  • Provide recommendations for employee relief funds and facilitate decisions.
  • Offer ad hoc reporting and project management support as needed.

Requirements

  • 6 - 12 months of Human Resources experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Suite (Mail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
