About the position

The People Operations Lead at Sage Eldercare Solutions is a pivotal role focused on enhancing employee experience and engagement within a dynamic and supportive environment. This position involves overseeing onboarding processes, managing wellness programs, and optimizing employee benefits. The lead will also play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with labor laws, facilitating communication, and promoting company culture and values. The role is integral to shaping the employee journey and driving initiatives that position Sage as an employer of choice.

Responsibilities

  • Own the onboarding process for new hires and ensure a seamless process.
  • Implement and manage wellness programs and life-work balance initiatives.
  • Oversee benefits optimization, including medical benefits administration and open enrollment processes, 401k, and EAP.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs, including anniversaries, birthdays, and performance-based awards.
  • Actively listen and gather feedback from employees to prioritize issues and opportunities.
  • Document key policies and processes; maintain the Employee Handbook and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and coordinate required employee training.
  • Manage Workers Compensation and provide best care for employees.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and supervisor concerns.
  • Facilitate internal communications related to HR initiatives and company updates.
  • Plan and execute team building activities and Sage events.
  • Help organize and support employee resource groups (ERGs) and coordinate DEI programs.
  • Promote company values and cultural initiatives in day-to-day operations.
  • Train managers to conduct professional development discussions and identify training program opportunities.
  • Develop and implement performance evaluation and management processes.
  • Maintain the People Ops analytics dashboard to measure and visualize the impact of employee experience initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Two years of experience in HR and/or benefits administration.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Google Drive, Asana, and/or similar software.
