As PO/Training Manager at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. This position will support the People Operations Director in managing the People Operations function for the Devereux New York center. They will plan, organize, and help facilitate the new employee orientation program. This position will also ensure that Center trainers and ongoing training programs maintain the highest level of quality, safety, and effectiveness, including maintaining knowledge of the most current learning practices and utilizing internal and external networks of training professionals to stay abreast of new ideas and approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Support the People Operations Director in managing the People Operations function.
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate the new employee orientation program.
  • Ensure that Center trainers and ongoing training programs maintain high quality, safety, and effectiveness.
  • Maintain knowledge of current learning practices and utilize networks of training professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all Devereux and regulatory requirements related to orientation and training.
  • Develop and maintain systems of scheduling, documentation, and record keeping.
  • Conduct post-classroom skill checks to assess competency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Training & Development or a Human Services field required.
  • Master's degree in Training and Development preferred.
  • At least three years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Experience in staff training, orientation, and development preferred.
  • Experience with effective learning management systems including documentation and record keeping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, customer service, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to establish a safe, supportive, and ethical learning environment.
  • High energy level and positive outlook.

  • Prior experience in the behavioral healthcare field.
