About the position

The People Operations Manager at HirexHire is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the People function within a fast-growing healthcare technology company. This position involves developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management. The role is hybrid, requiring some in-office presence in Chicago, and offers the opportunity to build and scale HR practices from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent, including defining job roles and managing the interview process.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive onboarding process for new hires.
  • Establish continuous learning and development programs to support employee growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership on HR policies and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and oversee performance management processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HR regulations.
  • Evaluate and implement HR systems and tools for streamlined processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a high-growth or startup environment.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare technology environment.
