About the position

The People Operations Manager at Notable Systems is an HR generalist responsible for administering all aspects of human resources within the company. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with employment regulations, building efficient HR processes, and supporting employee development and engagement. The position reports to the VP of Operations and plays a crucial role in talent acquisition, performance management, training, policy development, vendor management, benefits administration, payroll processing, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full cycle recruitment process, including job description drafting, managing job postings, conducting initial screens, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Oversee all aspects of performance management and suggest improvements to the process.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training and work with department heads to establish career ladders and promotions criteria.
  • Maintain knowledge of laws and regulations to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Process and document all employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, raises, and terminations.
  • Manage the company's relationship with various HR vendors and review bills from HR vendors.
  • Manage benefit enrollment for all employees and coordinate benefits administration.
  • Process payroll and maintain compensation records for all employees.
  • Provide first-line support for HR, payroll, and benefits queries from employees.
  • Administer and analyze employee engagement surveys and develop strategies to improve engagement.

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional experience.
  • At least three years in an HR/people operations role.
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws and employer regulations.
  • Experience recruiting candidates and overseeing performance management.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and craft presentations.
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
  • Experience working with a PEO.
  • Experience administering an ICHRA.
  • Experience using Slack and Asana.
