About the position

The People Operations Manager at Middesk will play a crucial role in enhancing the employee experience and advancing the company's People Ops programs. This position requires a balance of detail-oriented work and interpersonal communication, ensuring a high-touch approach to people operations. The manager will be responsible for building trust, managing a team, and navigating various challenges while promoting the company's values.

Responsibilities

  • Earn trust via expertise to advance goals and elevate People Ops programs.
  • Balance best practices and compliance while demonstrating adaptability and empathy.
  • Manage the People Operations Coordinator and coach managers in their roles.
  • Develop and drive the People Ops roadmap and business objectives.
  • Build and oversee scalable frameworks for performance management and employee engagement.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing HR systems and technology, including integrations with PEO and other tools.
  • Leverage metrics and data to inform and measure success across People Ops programs.

Requirements

  • Experience as a People Ops Manager or HRBP in a high-growth startup.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional partners.
  • Creativity and willingness to challenge conventional thinking in People Ops.
  • Experience tracking and presenting people ops metrics to enhance employee experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves
