About the position

The Manager of People Operations at ACCESS is responsible for enhancing the employer brand and leading initiatives aimed at improving employee performance and experience. This role involves tracking people metrics and collaborating with various teams to develop strategies that enhance recruitment, engagement, performance, and retention throughout the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute talent strategies for employee recruitment, engagement, performance, efficiency, development, and retention.
  • Create a sustainable employer brand to attract and retain top talent.
  • Work with leadership to foster a high-performance culture and develop productivity benchmarks.
  • Collect and measure people metrics and develop action plans based on findings.
  • Establish an internal advisory committee to inform initiatives for improving organizational culture.
  • Design and implement employee development initiatives, including training and mentorship programs.
  • Support continuous improvement processes and facilitate quality improvement efforts.
  • Assist in developing organizational structures and ensure HR practices align with equity and inclusion.
  • Administer the performance management system, including reviews and appraisals.
  • Coach supervisors on employee performance issues and support HR in employee relations matters.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews to gather insights on employee experience.
  • Modernize HR systems for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend new HR policies and initiatives to support organizational goals.
  • Plan and execute ACCESS events and maintain compliance with government reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least four years of experience in human resources, marketing, and/or operations, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience leading recruiting, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with HRIS Administration, FMLA, and Worker's Compensation.
