About the position

Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a People Operations Manager responsible for overseeing HR compliance, reporting and analytics, policy development, compensation and benefits management, and payroll oversight. This role is pivotal in delivering people-first initiatives, ensuring compliance with multi-state employment laws, and streamlining HR processes within a fast-paced consulting environment. The position requires effective collaboration with various teams and a focus on providing accurate and responsive HR solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Update HR policies according to legal requirements and conduct routine compliance audits.
• Oversee and manage the payroll function, ensuring accuracy and timely adjustments.
• Manage the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs.
• Conduct market research to maintain competitive pay structures and administer benefits programs.
• Develop, review, and update the Employee Handbook and other HR policies.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data related to compliance, compensation, and benefits.
• Prepare regular reports and track key HR metrics.

Requirements

• 7+ years of multi-state human resources experience, preferably in a consulting firm.
• Prior experience in compensation, benefits, and payroll management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with managers and business leaders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Computer literacy and technological proficiency.
