About the position

The Manager of People Operations at ACCESS is responsible for enhancing the employer brand and leading initiatives to improve employee performance and experience. This role involves tracking people metrics to foster productivity and engagement throughout the employee lifecycle, collaborating with interdepartmental teams to develop strategies for recruitment, engagement, performance, and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute talent strategies for recruitment, engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Create a sustainable employer brand to attract and retain top talent.
  • Work with leadership to foster a high-performance culture and establish productivity benchmarks.
  • Collect and analyze people metrics to inform action plans for improvement.
  • Establish an internal advisory committee to enhance organizational culture.
  • Design and implement employee development initiatives such as training and mentorship programs.
  • Support continuous improvement processes and facilitate quality improvement efforts.
  • Assist in developing organizational structures and ensure HR practices align with equity and business priorities.
  • Administer the performance management system and conduct employee reviews.
  • Coach supervisors on performance management and employee relations issues.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews to gather employee feedback.
  • Modernize HR systems for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend new HR policies and initiatives to support organizational goals.
  • Support planning and execution of organizational events.
  • Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements and stay updated on employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • At least four years of experience in human resources, marketing, or operations, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • Experience leading recruiting, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification required at date of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a non-profit organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS Administration and employment laws.
