About the position

The People Operations Manager at Cincinnati Animal CARE is responsible for overseeing the HR department, ensuring effective talent recruitment, employee development, and compliance with HR policies and laws. This role emphasizes creating a positive employee experience and supporting the organization's mission to provide exceptional animal services to the community.

Responsibilities

• Development of the HR Department
• Interpret and apply company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs, and applicable laws
• Lead the talent recruitment process
• Utilize technology for recruiting and employee management
• Design and implement the talent engagement process
• Analyze training needs for employee development
• Advise on staff development strategy and succession planning
• Advise, coach and counsel management on employee relations issues
• Co-facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation
• Conduct employee internal investigations and stay/exit interviews
• Support completion of worker's compensation claims and maintain OSHA log
• Serve as the direct supervisor to the People Operations Generalist
• Support payroll processing and time clock management
• Participate in community events and fundraisers
• Train to become an advanced user of the HRIS
• Perform other related HR administration duties as required

Requirements

• 1 year of experience with ADP
• Experience in program management
• Knowledge of HRIS systems
• Experience with Workday
