About the position

The People Operations Manager at PatientIQ is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the People function within the organization. This position involves building and scaling HR practices, fostering a positive and inclusive company culture, and ensuring that team members are supported and empowered. The role reports directly to the COO and is the first dedicated hire in the People department, offering a unique opportunity to influence the company's HR strategy from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with PatientIQ's business goals, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational development, and performance management.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent, including defining job roles, managing the interview process, and developing competitive compensation and benefits packages.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive onboarding process to ensure new hires are set up for success.
  • Establish continuous learning and development programs to support employee growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, providing guidance on HR policies, conflict resolution, and career development.
  • Develop and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and annual reviews, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Ensure all HR practices are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate and implement HR systems and tools to streamline processes and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong track record in strategic HR leadership, preferably in a high-growth or startup environment.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
