About the position

The People Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the development and execution of People Operations strategies, programs, and policies within an international technical manufacturing company. This role focuses on key areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, compliance, and safety, ensuring alignment with company goals and legal requirements while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements People Operations policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations and ensures company policies reflect current legal standards.
  • Leads recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent.
  • Develops staffing plans and forecasts future workforce needs based on company growth and business objectives.
  • Manages employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, grievances, and policy questions.
  • Analyzes wage and salary data to maintain competitive compensation packages.
  • Oversees benefits administration and ensures employee benefits programs are effectively communicated.
  • Designs and implements employee training and development programs.
  • Conducts performance management processes.
  • Develops safety policies and coordinates safety training for employees.
  • Oversees the maintenance and accuracy of the People Operations information system.
  • Uses HRIS data to generate reports and support decision-making processes.
  • Consults with legal counsel to address compliance issues and manage labor law matters.
  • Develops and implements performance management programs to encourage high employee performance.
  • Provides guidance to managers on employee coaching, discipline, and career development.
  • Maintains accurate records for employee data, benefits, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepares and presents monthly, quarterly, and annual People Operations reports to senior leadership.
  • Monitors company practices to ensure they are inclusive and non-discriminatory.
  • Responsible for directly and indirectly supervising support Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, managers, and personnel from various departments within the organization.
  • Moderate level of proficiency with personal computers.
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
