About the position

The People Operations Manager at Saildrone plays a crucial role in enhancing the employee experience and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position involves driving talent development and retention initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and collaborating with senior leadership to align people operations with business objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics to measure program effectiveness and recommend improvements, while also managing various people systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive compliant, efficient, and scalable processes, policies, and workflows.
  • Develop and follow People Operations audit and control processes in compliance with SOX, Federal and State laws, and internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align people operations with business objectives and drive strategic initiatives such as employee relations and DEI.
  • Spearhead People Operations analytics to measure program effectiveness and report key metrics to leadership.
  • Assess opportunities, compile and analyze data, and prepare reports to define people operations strategies.
  • Partner with the People Operations Generalist on onboarding, change management, and offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Manager on the performance review process to promote a culture of feedback and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of People Operations experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRIS.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proven track record of effective team management and leadership.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP), and GSuite.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
